Constituent Preliminary Body for USK Registration
The founding assembly of senior urologists who established the groundwork for Jammu & Kashmir's first apex urological society.
Formation of the Inception Committee
In 2025, senior urologists, academic faculty, and surgical consultants across Kashmir convened to address the imperative need for a unified provincial platform dedicated to urological advancement, clinical research, continuous medical education (CME), and patient advocacy.
An ad-hoc Preliminary Body was formally constituted to draft the society's Memorandum of Association, formulate its 17-Article Constitution & Bylaws, and interface with state administrative authorities to achieve statutory registration under the Societies Registration Act.
Core Foundational Objectives
- Formulate and ratify the foundational Constitution and Code of Medical Ethics
- Mobilize academic and consultant urologists across Kashmir division hospitals
- Compile documentation and petition the Registrar of Societies, Government of J&K
- Pave the road for transparent, democratic elections of the first permanent executive council
